Delete Your Account and Data
Applies to the mobile app Alarm for Pi (package com.pialarm.app_pi_alarm), published by Taos Labs.
1. Delete your whole account
- Open Alarm for Pi and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account is deactivated the moment you confirm. You are signed out on every device, alerts stop, and you can no longer sign in with that email address.
2. Delete some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your account to remove data. Deleting a wallet removes that wallet along with everything derived from it:
- Open the Wallets tab.
- Tap the wallet you want to remove.
- Tap Delete wallet and confirm.
That wallet's address, name, stored transaction history and alert records are erased immediately. Your account, your other wallets and your sign-in remain untouched.
You can also unlink Telegram at any time (Settings → Telegram alerts → Disconnect), which erases the Telegram chat identifier we hold for you.
3. What is deleted, and when
When you delete your account, the following are permanently erased:
- Email address — the identifier you sign in with
- Wallet addresses and wallet names you registered
- Transaction history we stored for those wallets
- Alert history — the notification records shown in the app
- Push notification tokens for every device you signed in on
- Telegram link, if you connected one
- Subscription records held on our side
Timing. Your access ends immediately on confirmation. The records above are then permanently purged from our databases within 7 days by an automated job. The short window exists so an accidental deletion can be reversed by contacting us before it completes.
We store no additional backup copies beyond that window, and we do not retain your data for advertising or profiling at any point.
4. What we keep, and why
- Purchase records held by Google Play. If you bought a subscription, Google Play keeps its own transaction record under its policies. We never receive or store your card details, and deleting your account here does not delete Google's record. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play subscriptions screen.
- Anonymous crash diagnostics. Crash reports collected through Firebase Crashlytics are not linked to your email address and cannot be traced back to you after deletion. They are retained under Google's Firebase retention policy.
- Blockchain data is not ours to delete. Pi Network transaction records live on a public blockchain that we only read. Deleting your account removes our copy; it has no effect on the chain itself.
5. If you cannot open the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete your account for you. Write from the address you signed up with so we can verify the request.
